Dishwasher labels are typically located in areas protected from water and easy to access without tools. Here are the most common places to check:
- On the Door Edge: Open the dishwasher door and check the edges of the door itself. Manufacturers often place the label on the top edge or the sides where it's visible when the door is open but hidden when it's closed.
- Along the Door Jamb: Look at the sides of the dishwasher opening, the door jamb, where the door seals against the unit. The label might be on the left or right side within this recessed area.
- On the Door Interior: Some models have the label affixed to the interior surface of the door, usually towards the top where it's less likely to come into contact with water.
- Behind the Kick Plate: The kick plate or toe panel at the bottom front of the dishwasher can sometimes hide the label.
You might need to remove this plate, but often it's designed for easy removal or has a small cutout allowing you to see the label without full removal.
